Large Scale Figures and Busts
I ran across an article on painting faces on large scale figures, and decided to try it out. Since I was looking for a Christmas present for a friend who is an enormous fan of Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe books, the choice of subject was an easy one. I took several photos during various stages of painting, which I will eventually post here. These are the final product:
My second attempt at a bust was Verlinden's Roman Legionary, because of my interest in Rome's military. It still rests on my bookshelf, waiting for me to finish my next large scale figure, a Roman Dromedarius, also from Verlinden.
